Shane Green
President & CEO, Personal

Shane has been focused on data and the digitization of places, people or things since 1995. He is passionate about big, disruptive ideas that shift power to individuals and agrees that the rules of the web and mobile world can often be confused with 15th century feudalism.

When not leading rebellions of data serfs at Personal, Shane is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a board member of the Information Technology & Innovation Foundation and the Institute for Education, and co-director of the Media & Technology Roundtable. Shane caught the bug for startups after helping launch the International Crisis Group at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He graduated from the University of Michigan.

Tige Savage
Managing Director & EVP, Revolution LLC

Tige Savage co-founded Revolution LLC with Steve Case and serves as its Managing Director, where he oversees all of Revolution's venture capital efforts. Tige has been named one of Washington, D.C. area's 100 "Tech Titans” and serves or has served on the boards of Revolution portfolio companies LivingSocial, Revolution Money (American Express), Flexcar (Zipcar), UberMedia, Clearspring, SparkPeople, Snagfilms, and Qloud (Buzznet).

Don Rainey joined Grotech Ventures as a general partner in September 2007.  With over $1B US under management, Grotech focuses on early stage information technology companies. Don also serves on the boards of Grotech portfolio companies ARPU, Clarabridge, LivingSocial and Zenoss, as well as the Northern Virginia Chapter of the March of Dimes.

Eric Semler
President, TCS Capital Management

Eric Semler is the founder and president of TCS Capital, one of the largest investment funds focused primarily on media and communications stocks. He previously served on the boards of dealtime.com (renamed shopping.com and now part of eBay), Classic Media, Channel 13/WNET TV and WNYC radio in New York. Eric began his career as a journalist for The New York Times and has co-authored two books. Eric received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and J.D./M.B.A. from Harvard University.

Neil Ashe
Former President, CBS Interactive; former CEO, CNET

Formerly the President of CBS Interactive, Neil Ashe led all aspects the company’s interactive content strategy and operations. Under his leadership, CBSi significantly expanded the Internet businesses and content distribution strategies of the CBS Corporation. Prior to that, he was the CEO of CNET Networks where he led the company's expansion to become the premier interactive content company. Neil holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS from Georgetown University.

Christopher Caine
President & CEO, Mercator XXI; former VP, Governmental Programs, IBM

Before becoming president of Mercator XXI in 2009, Chris Caine was with IBM Corporation for 25 years and had corporate responsibility for global public policy issues. Caine has also served within the Coca-Cola Company, the Eaton Corporation, and the Electronic Industries Association. He is a senior adviser to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and on the Board of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF).

Jon Dudas
CEO FIRST; former Director, US Patent & Trademark Office

Currently president of FIRST, the student technology and robotics competition founded by Dean Kamen, Jon Dudas was appointed Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 2004, serving until 2009. He most recently was a partner with the law firm Foley & Lardner LLC, specializing in intellectual property strategy and policy. Dudas has held several senior staff positions within the House of Representatives.

Edward (Ted) Prince
COO, National Geographic Global Media and President, National Geographic Ventures

Before becoming COO of National Geographic Global Media and president of National Geographic Ventures, Ted Prince was senior vice president, strategy & business development, at AOL. There he managed alliances, business initiatives, acquisitions and investments in media, telecommunications and technology companies for America Online Anywhere, AOL TV, AOL Technology and AOL Web Properties. Prince holds a J.D. from Duke University, an M.A. in natural resource economics from Duke University and a B.A. in history from Yale University.

Donn Rappaport
CEO, ALC

Donn Rappaport founded ALC in 1978 and has been its chairman since its inception. He is also Chairman of Empathy Lab, a leading-edge digital agency. And he was President and CEO of Zumbox, the world’s first digital postal system, during its launch in 2009. A frequent speaker and writer on direct marketing, Donn has served on the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) Board of Directors since 2001 and as its Chairman from 2007 to 2008. He is former Chairman of the DMA Board of Directors Standing Committee on Ethics and Privacy, co-author of the DMA’s List Leaders Basic Training Manual, former Chairman of DMA List Leaders, and former Chairman of List Day. As a Member of the DMA Environmental Task Force, he co-authored “The DMA Environmental Resource for Direct Marketers.” In 1999, Donn received the DMA's prestigious “Leader of the Year” award.

Nancy Roman
Director, Public Policy, Communications & Private Partnerships, World Food Programme

Nancy Roman has led the UN World Food Programme since 2007 as Director of Communications, Public Policy and Private Partnerships. Under her leadership, the private sector became WFP's 6th largest donor ($143 million). Roman authored “Both Sides of the Aisle: A Call for Bipartisan Foreign Policy” a Council Special Report published Fall 2005 that analyzes political polarization in Washington and proposes steps to build bridges for dialogue in foreign policy. Prior to this she was president of the G7 Group. In 1988 she served as press secretary and foreign affairs adviser for Representative Clay Shaw, Jr.

As a marketing leader at both MTV and ESPN before joining Harpo Studios, Harriet Seitler has had a career at the center of some of the most important cultural brands of our time. At Harpo, Harriet has been responsible for the Oprah/Oprah Winfrey Show brands, with such recognizable campaigns as “Live Your Best Life.” She has overseen strategic sponsorships and oprah.com, and has had a hand in the success of initiatives such as Oprah's groundbreaking "A New Earth" worldwide webcast, Oprah’s Book Club, Oprah's Australian Adventure, and ChristmasKindness in South Africa.
